Scottish DTM driver Paul di Resta is testing with McLaren for two days this week under the young driver programme that allows Formula One teams to assess up-and-coming talent outside of normal testing restrictions. Di Resta will get a further two days in the McLaren cockpit later this month.

Currently second in the drivers' rankings in his second season of DTM - Germany’s premier touring car championship - with Mercedes-Benz, 22-year-old Di Resta is no stranger to single-seater success, having won the Formula 3 EuroSeries in 2006.

Di Resta, recipient of the McLaren / Autosport / BRDC Young Driver of the Year award in 2005, will complete his four days with McLaren on October 20-21.
