Clos kicks off Williams Jerez programme 09 Dec 2008
With their rivals not arriving until Tuesday, Williams had the Spanish circuit of Jerez to themselves on Monday as they gave another test outing to local Formula One hopeful Dani Clos. The Formula 3 Euro Series racer made his F1 debut with the team at the same venue back in September.
As well as evaluating Clos, Williams used the private session to conduct set-up work and slick tyre and KERS development for 2009. After rain in the morning the track dried out in the afternoon and Clos ran a total of 79 laps, the best a 1m 22.558s.
Kazuki Nakajima will take over from Clos on Tuesday, as Williams are joined by another five teams for a further three days of testing.
