Ferraris Gene to demonstrate F2008 in Czech Republic 04 Sep 2009
Ferrari test driver Marc Gene will put last years F2008 through its paces this weekend at the Ferrari Racing Days event at the Masaryk Brno Circuit. Genes demonstration will be among the highlights of what is set to be the biggest gathering of the Italian marques machinery ever seen in the Czech Republic.
Not only will Gene complete a few hot laps in the F2008, winner of the 2008 constructors title, the Spaniard will also get behind the wheel of a Ferrari FXX belonging to seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, who was only too happy to make the sportscar available for the event.
Also on the bill are another 13 Ferrari F1 machines of varying vintages, driven by members of Maranellos F1 Clienti Department.
The Brno weekend, which features several rounds of Ferraris various one-make series, gets underway with practice on Friday. Qualifying and the first set of races take place on Saturday, with more racing and Genes demonstration runs on the Sunday.
