Budapest demo run for McLaren's Jenson Button 30 Apr 2012
McLarens Jenson Button will drive through the heart of Budapest on Tuesday. Button will be in action on a specially-constructed 1.6-kilometre street course in the Hungarian capital as part of the Raise Your Game Weekend event, which has been arranged by McLaren's title sponsors Vodafone.
A childrens folk dancing group from Debrecen will perform for Button before he takes to the track, which will see him pass near several iconic locations including the Chain Bridge and the Parliament. Hell then field questions from the crowd before meeting the Hungarian Olympic water polo team.
Im very excited to take part in this special event and speed through Budapest city centre, said the Briton, who won the Hungarian Grand Prix last season. Trying to throw a goal with the help of the Vodapolo application with the Hungarian National Waterpolo team members will also be interesting. It seems that, like the other visitors to the Raise Your Game Weekend, Ill also be trying something new.
As well as Buttons demo run, fans in attendance will be entertained by pit-stop challenges, have the chance to compete with their friends in a race simulator, and to try on a real McLaren racing helmet.
