Toro Rosso are planning to give their 2014 signing Daniil Kvyat Friday practice outings at the upcoming Grands Prix in the United States and Brazil, team principal Franz Tost confirmed in Abu Dhabi.

The team are keen to ensure the 19-year-old Russian, who wrapped up the 2013 GP3 title with a dominant race win at Yas Marina on Saturday, gets as much mileage as possible ahead of his F1 racing debut next season.

“We will have a test with him next week to get the Super Licence,” said Tost.

“Afterwards, he will go out on Friday in America and in Sao Paulo and of course we will have winter time, where he has to do a lot of work with physical training, mental training, then working on the simulator to prepare him as good as possible for the next season.”

Kyvat's test next week, expected to be done in a two-year-old Formula One car, should see him complete the 300 kilometres of running normally required for Super Licence approval.
