Toro Rosso will field a total of five drivers for this week’s young driver test at the UK's Silverstone circuit, which runs from Wednesday to Friday.

On Wednesday, Johnny Cecotto will spend all day at the wheel of the STR8. The Venezuelan is currently competing in GP2 with the Arden International team and has already driven for Toro Rosso at last year’s Abu Dhabi young driver test.

On Thursday morning, it’s the turn of 19-year-old Carlos Sainz Junior, who is also testing for sister team Red Bull Racing this week. Spaniard Sainz, son of multiple World Rally Champion Carlos Sainz, is part of the Red Bull Young Driver Programme and is also backed by CEPSA, the Spanish fuel and lubricants company that sponsors Toro Rosso.

With race drivers allowed to run at Silverstone this week, specifically to trial Pirelli’s revised tyres, Daniel Ricciardo will be in the cockpit on Thursday afternoon, before handing over to team mate Jean-Eric Vergne for Friday morning. Ricciardo is also due to test for Red Bull on Wednesday.

Finally, on Friday afternoon Daniil Kvyat will make his debut with the team. The 19-year old Russian is another member of the Red Bull Young Driver Programme, currently competing in GP3.
