Verstappen and Nasr to start from pit lane
Both Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Sauber’s Felipe Nasr will have to start Sunday’s Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco from the pit lane after changes were made to their cars overnight.
Verstappen crashed out of qualifying in Q1 and the damage to his RB12 was extensive enough that Red Bull have decided to give the Dutchman a new chassis for the race.
Nasr also retired from qualifying in the opening phase, but with an engine failure. Engine cooling ducts and panels have been changed on his C35, as has its suspension set-up.
Verstappen was classified above Nasr in the qualifying order, hence will leave the pit lane first.
