F2: Pourchaire becomes youngest ever series winner with dominant Monaco Feature Race performance

Racing at Monaco for the first time in his career, Sauber junior Theo Pourchaire made it a debut to savour, becoming Formula 2’s youngest polesitter on Thursday before replacing Lando Norris as the championship’s youngest ever winner on Saturday in the Feature Race.

The Frenchman now possesses the honorary title in both F2 and Formula 3 following a dominant win, in which he looked almost entirely untroubled throughout the 42-lap race, holding off his former F3 rival, Oscar Piastri, who finished second.

UNI-Virtuosi’s Felipe Drugovich made an alternate strategy work from ninth to finish third and score his second podium of the weekend, ahead of Ferrari Academy driver Robert Shwartzman, who recovered from a slow pit stop to take P4.

After starting from 10th, Guanyu Zhou utilised the overcut to jump to fifth at the flag and retained his lead of the drivers’ championship. The Chinese driver has a 15-point advantage over Alpine Academy rival Piastri.

In the teams’ standings, UNI-Virtuosi lead PREMA by 15 points as well.
