Victor Martins brought the spark back into his Formula 3 Championship fight, seizing the lead at lights out to take a commanding win following his early retirement from yesterday’s Sprint Race.

The ART Grand Prix driver was in a league of his own, expertly managing two Safety Car restarts to comfortably finish clear of Roman Stanek and Isack Hadjar, with the Trident driver putting in strong defence for second.

F3: Vidales claims his maiden championship victory at home

Alexander Smolyar brought home fourth, ahead of Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman and Red Bull junior Jak Crawford. However, it was the fight for the final points that heated up towards the final few laps. Franco Colapinto stormed his way up from P12 on the grid but was unable to deny Caio Collet a P7 finish, as Kaylen Frederick took home ninth.

F2: Drugovich seals Sprint Race victory in Barcelona to regain championship lead

A fierce three-way duel for P10 unfolded as Juan Manuel Correa successfully kept both Ferrari junior Arthur Leclerc and his ART team mate Gregoire Saucy at bay, despite Leclerc’s unorthodox overtake that saw him cut across the grass along the main straight into Turn 1.

Securing his second victory of the season, Martins has regained the lead of the Drivers’ Championship, six points clear of Stanek. The pair will have to wait just over a month before they can do battle again on track when F3 returns at Silverstone on July 1-3.
