FIRST LOOK: Drivers in new cars and new overalls in Abu Dhabi
This week’s end-of-season test in Abu Dhabi saw a host of drivers represent their 2019 teams ahead of making their competitive debuts next season.
No fewer than 10 drivers were handed an early run-out at Yas Marina - Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, Red Bull’s Pierre Gasly, Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat, Force India’s Lance Stroll (yet to be confirmed by the team), and the new-look partnerships of McLaren’s Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, Williams’ George Russell and Robert Kubica, and Sauber’s Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi.
The two-day test came to an end on Wednesday, meaning the drivers will now enjoy a well-deserved break before returning to action in pre-season testing in Barcelona next year.
