A glorious Sunday at Goodwood saw F1 drivers and cars past and present assemble as part of the annual Festival of Speed, wowing the crowds with rapid runs up the renowned hill, entertaining donuts and waves aplenty. Here’s a selection of the action fresh from the event for your viewing pleasure…

Sebastian Vettel

Four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel drew a crowd everywhere he turned on Sunday before stepping into an ex-Nigel Mansell Williams FW14B and ex-Ayrton Senna McLaren MP4/8 from his personal collection – both cars running sustainable fuels.

Mick Schumacher

Mick Schumacher added to his 2023 reserve duties with Mercedes by joining Esteban Gutierrez for some Goodwood demo runs, including a very special outing in the W02 driven by his father, seven-time champion Michael, during the 2011 season.

Mika Hakkinen

There was also an emotional moment for Mika Hakkinen when he stepped back into the McLaren MP4/14 he drove to five race wins and his second world title in 1999.

Oscar Piastri

Current McLaren racer Oscar Piastri had a closer look at some of the Woking team’s classic F1 creations in the Goodwood paddock before taking to the hill.

Plenty more F1 stars

Ferrari and Williams were the other present-day F1 teams to attend Goodwood (along with a host of other Grand Prix machines on display and in motion via private owners and collectors) meaning the latter’s ambassador, Jenson Button, could roll back the years in an FW08C from the 1983 campaign.
