A thrilling Sao Paulo Sprint Shootout saw Lando Norris claim P1 for this afternoon’s Sprint, ahead of the Red Bull pairing of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
Norris cut a frustrated figure on Friday evening, after failing to maximise the pace of a McLaren MCL60 that he felt was a good enough machine to claim pole position in qualifying.

But he made amends in the Sprint Shootout, taking P1 by 0.061s from Verstappen. Meanwhile, there was drama in SQ1, as former team mates Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso made contact, sending Ocon into the wall at Turn 3.
