Valtteri Bottas completed the fewest laps of any driver on the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain, as a gearbox problem ruined his first stint in the car.
But the Finn hit back in style on Saturday, clocking the fastest time of the day, albeit on the softest C5 tyre, and when the track was at its fastest.

The day was not so smooth for Bottas' team mate though, with Lewis Hamilton bringing out the red flags in the morning after spinning his W12 at Turn 13 and beaching the car in the gravel trap.
Elsewhere, Fernando Alonso made his testing debut for Alpine today, getting his first taste of his new A521 car ahead of his returen to Grand Prix racing after two years out of the series.
