Charles Leclerc was the main man around the streets of Monte Carlo, after the hometown hero sealed his third consecutive pole position in a row, to lead a Ferrari front row lock-out ahead of tomorrow’s Monaco Grand Prix.

Leclerc set a blistering time of 1m 11.376s on his first lap and was going quicker on his second before an incident between Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz brought an end to qualifying. Sainz was a further 0.225s behind Leclerc in P2, with Perez in third, ahead of team mate Verstappen in fourth.

Lando Norris proved to be the 'best of the rest' as the McLaren driver came home in fifth, ahead of George Russell in sixth. Fernando Alonso was in P7, but he also crashed in the barrier at the end of Q3. Lewis Hamilton was eighth fastest but failed to complete his final lap due to the red flag.
