HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from qualifying in Zandvoort as Verstappen narrowly beats Leclerc
Max Verstappen took his second consecutive pole position at the Dutch Grand Prix as he narrowly beat rival Charles Leclerc to seal a P1 start for tomorrow’s race.
Verstappen crossed the line to set a time of 1m 10.342s to beat Leclerc's time by 0.021s. Carlos Sainz put in a good performance to seal a top-three start with a time that was 0.092s off the Red Bull driver's lap.
Lewis Hamilton qualified fourth after his last lap was affected by Sergio Perez – who qualified in P5 – when the Mexican driver spun in the final sector. George Russell was another whose lap was affected by Perez’s spin, and will start in sixth, ahead of Lando Norris in seventh.
It was a good showing for Mick Schumacher, who will start in eighth, ahead of Yuki Tsunoda in ninth and Lance Stroll in 10th – who failed to do a lap in Q3 after suffering from a technical issue.
