McLaren set date to unveil 2021 F1 car, the MCL35M
McLaren have become the second team to set the launch date for their 2021 F1 car - after Alfa Romeo - as the Woking squad prepare to unveil their MCL35M in February.
After finishing third in 2020, McLaren have significant changes to contend with in 2021 with a switch of engine suppliers, and their new Mercedes-powered car will be shown off to the world on February 15 at 1900 GMT.
They fired up the car on January 27, showing off the sound of their new power unit before revealing their launch date.
Driving alongside Lando Norris this season will be Daniel Ricciardo, in their first Mercedes-powered F1 car since 2014. While the MCL35M will be an evolution of last year's competitive car, McLaren are the only team to change engine suppliers in 2021, moving on from Renault to a unit that powered all but three victories in 2020.
McLaren's launch takes place one week before Alfa Romeo's, with pre-season testing set to be the car's first public shakedown ahead of the March 28 Bahrain Grand Prix.
