MUST-SEE: Every Verstappen overtake as he charges from P9 to victory in Miami

Max Verstappen took Driver of the Day honours, victory, and the fastest lap on the way to the chequered flag in Miami – and he had to fight his way up from an unusually lowly grid slot to do it.

The reigning champion put in a supreme performance on Sunday having settled for P9 in a dramatic Saturday qualifying session.

The Red Bull racer scythed through the pack in the brilliant Red Bull RB19, making light work of several cars including the Mercedes of George Russell to inherit the lead as team mate and pole-sitter Sergio Perez stopped for tyres.

A late pit stop then saw Verstappen bolt on new tyres, and from there he blazed a trail towards Perez and, despite the Mexican driver launching a staunch defence, Verstappen made it past for his third victory of the 2023 F1 season.
