Jake Hughes continued his return to form in F3, beating out title contenders Liam Lawson and Logan Sargeant for his first win of the season, and his first ever on a Saturday in F3.
Championship leader Sargeant was unable to hold on to pole, losing two positions to Hughes and Lawson, but the American did at least gain further ground on his team mate Oscar Piastri in the race to the crown, with the Australian driver finishing back in sixth.

Sargeant got off the line cleanly, but Hughes was patient in his bid for victory, remaining within DRS range of the PREMA racer, and skipping ahead at the first corner at the midway stage.
The HWA RACELAB driver was then able to skip off into the distance as Sargeant fell into the clutches of Lawson, who scampered past a couple of laps later.
Jenzer Motorsport scored their first points of the season as Matteo Nannini sealed 10th place, and reverse grid pole for Race 2 tomorrow.
