THROUGH THE VISOR: Vettel relives his battle with Alonso at the 2014 British Grand Prix
Sebastian Vettel has played his part in some of the most famous battles in Formula 1 history. So ahead of this weekend’s British Grand Prix, the four-time world champion sat down with us to talk through his memorable tussle with Fernando Alonso at Silverstone in 2014.
Vettel – who was driving for Red Bull at the time – emerged from the pit lane in fifth place, ahead of Alonso – who was behind the wheel of the Ferrari. Alonso overtook the German driver at Copse and launched a staunch defence of his position for 12 laps.

As complaints went back and forth between the two world champions on their respective team radios, they continued to push each other to the limit without ever making contact. But in the end, Vettel was able to return the favour, eventually making his way past on the inside of Copse.
