WATCH: First gameplay trailer for Codemasters' F1 2020 revealed

We may still not be able to watch any real F1 racing, but thanks to Codemasters we can now get a glimpse of some gameplay action from their upcoming F1 2020 release, in a brand new trailer.

We’ll have to wait until July 10 to play the latest F1 game on either PS4, Xbox One, PC or Google Stadia, but in the meantime check out the stunning trailer, backed by Brian Tyler’s already-iconic F1 theme, in the video above. It’s been a while since we heard that sweet melody.

Codemasters have also announced players will now be able to race a full, half or three-race Formula 2 season with the single-seater championship fully integrated into career mode, and the 2019 F2 season will be available at launch before F2 2020 gets added in a later update.

And there are 16 classic F1 cars to choose from in the new game, including the 2010 Red Bull RB6, the Ferrari F1 2000 and the 1990 Ferrari 641 – with the full list below. And four of Michael Schumacher’s F1 cars will also star in the Deluxe Schumacher Edition of the game.

“The first in-game trailer has become a key moment in the F1 game campaign and this year is no exception,” said Lee Mather, F1 Franchise Game Director at Codemasters.

“Each season we raise the visual benchmark, and with more circuits and teams getting new liveries, we can’t wait for the season to start and for players to be able to race.”
