Ferrari were fastest in both of the opening sessions of the Australian Grand Prix weekend, but it was Charles Leclerc who was fastest in FP2 after finishing runner-up to team mate Sainz in FP1.

In FP2, Leclerc posted the fastest lap of the weekend thus far with a 1m 18.978s, putting him a comfortable 0.245s clear of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen – the pair having sparred for both race victories in the previous two rounds.
