Carlos Sainz was the quickest driver on day one of Formula 1’s return to Marina Bay, setting the fastest time in the second practice session for the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix.
On his qualifying run, Sainz set a time of 1m 42.587s to lead team mate Charles Leclerc by 0.208s as Ferrari topped the timesheets. Mercedes' George Russell rounded out the top three, 0.324s behind the Spaniard.
