After Yuki Tsunoda's Canadian Grand Prix ended prematurely as he hit the barriers leaving the pits, we looked back at nine other costly, calamitous pit exit moments from F1 history...
Tsunoda wasn't the first driver to have an incident leaving the pits at Montreal. His crash resembled Jarno Trulli’s in 2007 – while Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen had their own baffling, low-speed collision the following year.

Silverstone has also seen its fair share of pit exit incidents, with Romain Grosjean losing his front wing in a strange spin – a near-miss rivalled by Gerhard Berger, who dropped it and almost caused a high-speed crash in Portugal back in 1993.
Perhaps the most spectacular is the airborne collision between Pastor Maldonado and Esteban Gutierrez in Bahrain...
