WATCH: Verstappen spins as he puts new Red Bull through paces on first day of testing
On a busy opening day of testing in Bahrain, Red Bull's Max Verstappen became the first driver to spin, losing the rear out of Turn 2 and half sliding across the track in a puff of smoke. Team boss Christian Horner put the off down to a "gust of wind" and "tricky track conditions" rather than any fundamental handling issues with the Honda-powered RB16B.
