Who gained and lost the most positions in the Red Bull Ring Sprint?
Max Verstappen won the Sprint at the Red Bull Ring, giving him P1 on the grid for the Austrian Grand Prix, ahead of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz – as Fernando Alonso failed to take the start after an electronic issue on his Alpine.
Verstappen’s team mate Sergio Perez took P13 on the grid for the Sprint after having his Q2 lap – and all his Q3 laps – deleted from Friday evening’s qualifying session. But the Mexican made hay on Saturday, slicing his way up the order to claim P5 at the flag – and leaving him targeting a podium as a minimum in Sunday’s showpiece Austrian Grand Prix.
