100 days to lights out: The countdown is on for the Las Vegas Grand Prix
The countdown is on: in exactly 100 days the five red lights above the all-new street circuit will blink out, and the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be GO!
Formula 1 is returning to the city for the first time since 1982, but this time around with a brand new track that incorporates the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

The race will be run under the lights of this spectacular venue – and uniquely, the Grand Prix itself will be run on the Saturday night, rather than the traditional Sunday.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is among those who can't wait to get racing around this all-new circuit.
"I think there’s something else about Vegas,” Hamilton said when he visited the city for a demonstration run in November.
“I think there’s an unbelievable amount of energy in one little space, so the weekend when we have the race here… I don’t even know how we’re going to be moving! It will be the busiest time, I would imagine, in Vegas – the race will be incredible.”
