Formula 1 heads stateside this weekend for the Miami Grand Prix, with Oscar Piastri entering the event as the new championship leader. The odds for the win
Off the back of his third victory of the season last time out in Saudi Arabia, Piastri is rated as the favourite to take the spoils at the Miami International Autodrome. The Australian has never finished inside the top 10 in Miami – can he rectify that this time around?
Not far behind in the odds is his McLaren team mate Lando Norris, the man who memorably scored his debut win at the track in 2024. Max Verstappen is also one to keep an eye on, with the Red Bull driver having stood on the rostrum three times so far this year which included his triumph in Japan.

Can Piastri continue his winning streak in Miami?
The odds for a podium finish
While those three aforementioned names dominate the odds when it comes to who is most likely to stand on the podium in Miami, George Russell is another potential candidate, the Mercedes man having finished within the top three in Australia, China and Bahrain.
Just behind him in the rankings is Charles Leclerc. The Ferrari driver scored his maiden rostrum of the campaign in Saudi Arabia and will be looking to repeat that feat during the weekend ahead.

The odds for a top-six finish
While Lewis Hamilton just missed out on the top six with a P7 result in Jeddah, the seven-time World Champion has decent odds for going one step better in Miami as he continues to adapt to his new Ferrari.
Kimi Antonelli is also in with a chance. Since making his F1 debut in Australia, the Italian youngster has only finished outside of the leading six positions on one occasion and currently sits in P6 of the Drivers’ standings.

The odds for a top-10 finish
After scoring his first points for Red Bull in Bahrain, Yuki Tsunoda suffered a DNF one week later in Saudi Arabia following a Lap 1 collision with Alpine’s Pierre Gasly. Both drivers are rated as potentially reaching the top 10 in Miami, however.
Also holding decent odds are the Williams pair of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon – who brought home a double points finish in Jeddah – along with Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar, the rookie having twice scored points so far in his debut campaign.

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix saw Sainz and Albon score a double points finish for Williams
The odds for who will be fastest in Qualifying
The Miami Grand Prix has witnessed three different polesitters since the inaugural race in 2022 – and interestingly none of these have gone on to take victory on that occasion. Leclerc was the first driver to claim pole at the track, with Sergio Perez and Verstappen following in the years after.
Looking at the odds, Piastri is deemed the favourite to take P1 on the grid at the 2025 event, the Australian having previously clinched pole position twice so far this season.
