Dan Fallows to leave role as Aston Martin Technical Director ahead of Newey arrival

Dan Fallows has stepped down from his role as Aston Martin’s Technical Director – but the team say he will stay within the group.
Fallows joined Aston Martin from Red Bull in April 2022, and played a key role in their growth and development – which included the team taking eight podiums through Fernando Alonso last season.
However, the team’s technical department has swelled in recent times, as billionaire owner Lawrence Stroll marches on with his bid to make the squad a World Championship-contending team.

On Tuesday, Aston Martin released a statement saying Fallows and the team were jointly announcing that from this month, he would no longer serve as Technical Director.

Cowell said: “I would like to thank Dan for his contribution to Aston Martin Aramco in the last two years.
“Dan led the team to the success of the AMR23 which secured eight podiums last season.”
Fallows added: “In my time at Aston Martin, it has been a joy and a privilege to guide the technical team on their journey towards being race and championship winners.
“It is time for me to pass on the baton, but I look forward to watching the team's future success, which I am sure will come soon.”
It remains unclear what role Fallows will take within the wider Aston Martin group.
