DRIVER OF THE DAY: Verstappen takes fan honours after P2 finish in Madrid
For the fifth time in 2026, the most impressive race showing in your eyes came from the four-time World Champion.

After cutting the first chicane at the start and subsequently being instructed to yield places to rivals Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen then got down to doing what he does best – extracting the maximum from the equipment available to him.
At the Madring, that meant P2 for Red Bull by less than a second after fending off charging polesitter Lando Norris in the dying laps. It was a display you clearly appreciated - here’s how the voting broke down…
Max Verstappen - 23.5%
Charles Leclerc - 18.3%
Lando Norris - 16.2%
Kimi Antonelli - 9.7%
Franco Colapinto - 7.3%
