F1 ACADEMY: Palmowski reigns triumphant on home soil in Silverstone Feature Race
Alisha Palmowski triumphed on home soil as she extended her lead at the top of the F1 ACADEMY standings.

Alisha Palmowski gave the British fans something to celebrate as she snatched victory on home soil in the F1 ACADEMY Feature Race at Silverstone.
The Red Bull Racing driver timed her start perfectly, beating Chiara Battig off the line. The pair put clean air between themselves and the rest of the field, with Palmowski holding firm for her third win of the campaign.
Battig’s impressive debut weekend concluded with a history-making finish in P2, as she became the first Wild Card podium finisher and delivered Hitech’s first silverware in the series. Emma Felbermayr followed up on yesterday’s Reverse Grid Race win, rocketing from eighth to third.
Gademan tried to close in but couldn’t challenge the Audi driver, following in fourth ahead of Ella Lloyd. Rachel Robertson and Ava Dobson rounded out Hitech’s home weekend with back-to-back points finishes in P6 and P8, with the pair split by Sephora driver Natalia Granada in seventh.
Megan Bruce wounded up in ninth for TAG Heuer, while Alba Larsen went from 13th to take the final point in 10th despite a mistake dropping her back out of the points at the midway point.
Palmowski heads into the summer break with a commanding 30-point lead in the Standings over Felbermayr, who will be looking to fight back when Round 4 heads to the Circuit Zandvoort on August 21-23.
