F1 ACADEMY: Westcott takes maiden win as she dominates Reverse Grid Race in Zandvoort
Mercedes' Payton Westcott dominated Saturday's Reverse Grid Race to seal her maiden F1 ACADEMY victory.

Payton Westcott converted pole position into her maiden F1 ACADEMY win with a lights-to-flag drive in the Reverse Grid Race at Zandvoort.
The Mercedes driver started on Reverse Grid pole for the first time following the disqualification of Wild Card driver Zoe Florescu from the Qualifying session after her car was found to be in breach of the Technical Regulations.
After a perfect start, Westcott kept herself out of trouble at the race start, during two Safety Car restarts and throughout the 17-lap race, winning by almost two tenths.
Alba Larsen and Nina Gademan both made charges through the grid to round out the podium, making it a double podium for MP Motorsport.
Their team mate Esmee Kosterman claimed her first points of the season in P4, while Ella Lloyd made up six places to finish fifth. Rachel Robertson finished sixth ahead of Megan Bruce, with Ava Dobson taking the final point in P8, with the fastest lap going to race winner Westcott.
Alisha Palmowski will be under pressure from the rest of the grid when she lines up on pole for Sunday’s Feature Race at 1030 local time. Until then, you can catch up on all the action with the full report and reactions from today’s Reverse Grid Race on the official website.
