F1 NATION: Hamilton's emotional maiden win as reliability woes befall Antonelli – it's our Barcelona-Catalunya GP review
The F1 Nation team look back on all the biggest news and talking points from the seventh race of the season, the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton grabbed a famous and very emotional win for Ferrari in Barcelona-Catalunya, breaking Kimi Antonelli’s streak of victories and reigniting the title fight with a dominant display.
Hamilton was rapid in the middle and last parts of the race, winning by nearly 20 seconds on a day where Ferrari looked more than a match for Mercedes, who only managed to get one car to the finish – Antonelli retiring with PU problems.
Tom Clarkson is joined by ESPN’s Albert Fabrega and Brazilian journalist Julianne Cerasoli in the Barcelona-Catalunya paddock to discuss all the major talking points from a very interesting Grand Prix.
George Russell was second and Lando Norris third for a historic all-British podium, while Charles Leclerc also retired with a suspected hydraulics issue.
But it was the battle up front that caused the most raised eyebrows, with Hamilton benefitting from the timing of a VSC to jump Russell for the lead – although many suspect he would have won anyway, such was his pace in the final stint.
With Ferrari taking the fight to the Silver Arrows, there is work to do for McLaren and Red Bull to catch up, but they at least both scored with both cars.
It was a good day for Alpine and Racing Bulls as they both scored big, but less good for Audi who saw Nico Hulkenberg retire when running in the points with a rather strange issue.
As for the two Spaniards, they had a day to forget – Fernando Alonso also retiring, while Carlos Sainz finished outside the points in a Williams that rarely looked competitive at this track.
And now everyone turns their focus to the next double-header, with Austria and Great Britain hosting the next two rounds. Mercedes will be looking to bounce back, but Ferrari now have a very confident, back to his best Hamilton in their ranks, which is rather a formidable prospect.
