F2: Aron bounces back to take pole position in Budapest

Paul Aron returned to form in Budapest after a difficult weekend at Silverstone by edging out Van Amersfoort Racing’s Enzo Fittipaldi to take pole position in a tightly fought qualifying session.
The Hitech Pulse-Eight rookie completed a lap of 1m 30.028s to beat Fittipaldi to top spot by just 0.069s, with his championship rival Isack Hadjar ending up third in his Red Bull-liveried Campos Racing car.

McLaren-backed Gabriel Bortoleto had been fastest after the first set of laps but ended up qualifying fourth for Invicta Racing.
He was followed by the ART Grand Prix and Alpine Academy Driver Victor Martins, who wound up in P5, while MP Motorsport’s Dennis Hauger set the sixth-quickest time.
Mercedes prospect Andrea Kimi Antonelli recovered from an early lock-up in the session to end up seventh fastest for PREMA Racing, with Rodin Motorsport’s Zane Maloney in P8.
Kush Maini was the second Invicta driver in ninth, as Trident’s Richard Verschoor rounded out the top 10.

This means the Dutchman will line up on reverse grid pole in Saturday afternoon’s Sprint Race, which is set to start at 1415 local time.
