F3: Aron takes maiden F3 win in Spielberg as he fights back in the Sprint

Paul Aron made up for the disappointment of losing pole to track limits by winning his first FIA Formula 3 race in the Spielberg Sprint Race. The PREMA Racing and Mercedes Junior Team driver fought back from eighth on the reverse grid to come through and take victory late on.
Aron made a strong start, climbing up the order on an action-filled first lap in very wet conditions. He was up to third by the end of the opening lap and after several prior attempts, cleared ART Grand Prix’s Kaylen Frederick to move up to P2 and set up the fight for victory.
F2: Alpine junior Martins untouchable in Spielberg qualifying
Reverse grid pole sitter Josep María Martí had led every lap of the race until a mid-race Safety Car for a crash between Rodin Carlin’s Oliver Gray and Van Amersfoort Racing’s Rafael Villagómez. It set up a battle between Martí and Aron for victory.
The Estonian made the move at Turn 3 on Lap 18, going three-wide with Martí and Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Gabriele Minì. The Alpine Academy junior then made his own move on Martí to secure P2.

Caio Collet was on the podium for the first time since Round 1, beating Martí and Zak O’Sullivan to the final podium place with a pass on the Campos Racing driver at the final corner on the penultimate lap.
