F3: Bilinski inherits maiden victory after Tramnitz penalised in Monza

Tim Tramnitz crossed the line in P1 but a post-race penalty saw Rodin Motorsport’s Roman Bilinski inherit a maiden Formula 3 victory at the Monza Sprint Race.

The Polish driver went from seventh on the grid and made impressive progress before taking the chequered flag in second place.

However, Tramnitz was found to have had a starting procedure infringement post-race, for which the Stewards elected to hand him a 10-second time penalty.

As a result, the MP Motorsport driver dropped from first to P18 in the final classification.

McLaren Development Programme member Martinius Stenshorne moves up one position to second for Hitech TGR, with ART Grand Prix driver Laurens van Hoepen taking the final spot on the podium.

DAMS Lucas Oil driver Matías Zagazeta achieves his best finish of the season in P4 ahead of Campos Racing’s Aston Martin junior Mari Boya in fifth.

Williams Driver Academy prospect Alessandro Giusti ended up sixth for MP, with Rodin’s Callum Voisin in eighth ahead of TRIDENT’s Noah Stromsted.

Ugo Ugochuku finished ninth for PREMA Racing, as Van Amersfoort Racing’s Théophile Nael took the final point in P10.

Ugochukwu will start from the front row in Sunday’s Feature Race, just behind AIX Racing’s Brad Benavides, who lines up on pole.
