F3: Browning takes second win of 2024 with Spielberg Feature victory

SPIELBERG, AUSTRIA - JUNE 30: Race winner Luke Browning of Great Britain and Hitech Pulse-Eight

Luke Browning led every lap of the Formula 3 Feature Race around the Red Bull Ring, resisting pressure from PREMA Racing’s Gabriele Minì and Dino Beganovic throughout the race.

The Hitech Pulse-Eight driver launched into an early lead from pole position, while all three PREMAs battled behind in second, third and fourth. Rookie Arvid Lindblad ultimately lost out to his more experienced teammates, dropping from second on the grid down to seventh in the opening exchanges.

Noel León was charging through the pack from 13th on the grid and came into battle with fourth-placed Oliver Goethe. The pair made slight contact, resulting in a puncture for the Mexican driver and ending his hopes of points just past halfway.

Into the closing stages and almost the entirety of the top 10 had DRS on the driver ahead, with Browning still holding off Beganovic in second, though Minì in third began to apply pressure on his teammate.

With four laps to go, the Alpine Academy driver made a dive to the inside at Turn 3 to seize second from Beganovic, though the Swede was back through later on in the lap.

ART Grand Prix’s Christian Mansell made a late-race surge through the points-paying positions and became embroiled in the fight for second, briefly taking third from Minì on Lap 24 before the Italian re-passed him at Turn 6.
