TRIDENT’s Rafael Camara was in supreme form once again, as he secured his second consecutive pole position to start the season, beating Rodin Motorsport’s Callum Voisin at an action-packed Qualifying in Bahrain.
The Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy member led the way in Free Practice early in the day, but it was not until his third and final lap that he took to the top of the leaderboard in Qualifying.

Camara’s 1:49.214 late in the session was good enough for P1, and Voisin, who had been on provisional pole, was forced to settle for second, 0.156s behind.
TRIDENT made it two cars in the top three, as Charlie Wurz went up to third on his final attempt, ahead of DAMS Lucas Oil driver Christian Ho.
MP Motorsport rookie Bruno del Pino also had a stellar day in Bahrain, qualifying fifth ahead of another FDA member in Tuukka Taponen, who was sixth for ART Grand Prix.
Noah Stromsted was seventh for TRIDENT, ahead of Nikola Tsolov, in his Red Bull-liveried Campos Racing car.

Williams Driver Academy member Alessandro Giusti was ninth for MP, while AIX Racing’s Freddie Slater rounded out the top 10 on debut.
Hitech TGR drivers Martinius Stenshorne and Joshua Dufek ended up in P11 and P12. This means they will line up on the front row when we reverse the grid for Saturday’s Sprint Race, which is set to start at 13:15 local time.
