FACTS AND STATS: Racing Bulls’ Hadjar and Lawson both secure career-best results
Share
We knew the injection of a mandatory two pit stops in Monaco would make for some unusual strategies and while McLaren and Landon Norris took the win, Racing Bulls pulled a blinder, propelling both their drivers to headline-grabbing finishes. Of course, they weren’t the only ones giving us some fascinating numbers to ponder post-race…
• Lando Norris’ victory was McLaren’s first Monaco win since 2008 with Lewis Hamilton.
• It was a record-extending 16th win for McLaren in Monaco, their most at any F1 venue.
Report: Norris takes victory over Leclerc and Piastri in gripping Monaco Grand Prix
• It was Norris’ first victory since the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
• It was Norris’ sixth career win, putting him level with team mate Oscar Piastri.
• Charles Leclerc’s P2 finish was Ferrari’s best result of the 2025 season.
• It was only Leclerc’s second Monaco podium finish in any racing category (he won the 2024 race).
• It was Ferrari’s 58th Monaco Grand Prix podium finish, the most by any constructor.
Esteban Ocon gave Haas their best-ever result around the Monaco streets
• Piastri’s P3 finish was his seventh consecutive podium result.
• It was McLaren’s first double podium in Monaco since 2007.
• For Piastri, it was his 34th point-scoring race weekend in a row (the third-longest streak in history).
• The top-three starters finished in grid order in Monaco for the third consecutive year.
• In P4, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen missed the podium for the fourth time in the last seven Grands Prix.
DRIVER OF THE DAY: Local hero Leclerc gets your vote after taking Ferrari to P2 in Monaco
• Verstappen has finished off the podium at the last two Monaco Grands Prix.
• Lewis Hamilton took P5 for Ferrari and has not finished on the podium in Monaco since 2019.
• Hamilton gained the most positions of all the point-scorers in the race, moving up two places.
• Esteban Ocon’s P7 was the Haas team’s best-ever result in a Monaco Grand Prix.
• It was Ocon’s third points finish of the season.
Another race, another non-scoring outcome for Fernando Alonso
• At Racing Bulls, Isack Hadjar’s P6 was a career-best finish for the French rookie.
• With Liam Lawson in P8, both Racing Bulls drivers scored their career-best finishes.
• It was also the first double-points finish for the Faenza team in Monaco since 2019.
• Williams’ Alex Albon finished ninth for the second consecutive Monaco Grand Prix.
• Albon has only failed to score once this season.

• With team mate Carlos Sainz in P10, Williams scored points with both cars in Monaco for first time in 20 years.
• With George Russell 11th and Kimi Antonelli 18th, Mercedes failed to score for the first time since Australia 2024.
• Fernando Alonso’s retirement for Aston Martin means he is pointless after eight races, his worst start to a season in 10 years.
• Prior to his DNF in the Alpine, Pierre Gasly had a 100 percent finishing record in six Monaco starts.
