Ferrari's Larsen to return for 2027 F1 ACADEMY campaign
Alba Larsen is the first driver to secure a seat in the all-female series for 2027.

Ferrari have announced that Alba Larsen will become the first driver to contest a third campaign in F1 ACADEMY, continuing as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy next season.
The first driver to land a seat in the all-female series for 2027, the Dane has been granted a third season following a rule change announced last year, which is available exclusively to drivers whose performance indicates strong potential for continued growth.
Larsen was signed by the SFDA midway through her debut F1 ACADEMY season in 2025, achieving 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car. Switching to the Ferrari car this year, she recently claimed her first podium in the series, with back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort.
The 17-year-old currently sits fourth in the drivers’ standings with two rounds in Austin and Las Vegas remaining, and also scored her first win in British F4 earlier this season.

"After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," said Larsen.
"Susie [Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director] and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me.
"I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.”
