The Formula 1 Exhibition, the critically acclaimed spectacle that brings fans into the heart of the world of F1, will make its North American debut when it opens in Toronto at the Lighthouse ArtSpace on May 3 2024.

Toronto is the third F1 Exhibition destination, following a successful world-premiere run in Madrid, Spain where it quickly became the country’s biggest-selling temporary show in 2023 – followed by a record-breaking opening in Vienna, Austria in February.

Canada has a storied motorsport heritage, with the Grand Prix a staple on the F1 calendar since 1967, and a strong track-record of producing talented drivers including Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve, and current Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll.

F1 fans in Toronto will be treated to an immersive experience through six specifically designed rooms spread over 20,000 square feet, which feature exclusive interviews from the sport’s most legendary teams and personalities, and include iconic Formula 1 cars, historic artefacts, and archive video material.

New for Toronto, visitors will be able to try their hand at racing an F1 car on state-of-the-art simulators using official F1 gaming equipment, while other exclusive collections will be announced ahead of the opening.

Formula 1 has more than 100 million fans and growing in North America, and with this year's Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal selling out quickly, the Exhibition will provide both seasoned followers and those newer to the sport with an opportunity to engage with F1 away from track.

F1 IN AMERICA: The curious case of the first United States Grand Prix

“The F1 Exhibition has proven hugely successful during its visits to Madrid and Vienna and with Canada’s history and passion towards our sport, we expect that it will be popular with new and existing fans when it opens in May in Toronto,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1. “Experience has shown that it is a great way for them to connect to the sport in a different format outside of a race weekend.

“This first F1 Exhibition in North America reflects the incredible growth the sport has seen in the region in recent years and shows our continued commitment to creating new and interactive ways for fans to enjoy the story of Formula 1.”

“Toronto is home to a plethora of sports, entertainment, and culture so is in an ideal position to be the first in North America to welcome Formula 1 fans to this one-of-a-kind show.”
