Lewis Hamilton managed to set the fastest lap in FP2 of the Turkish Grand Prix ahead of Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas, giving the championship leader a stellar start to the weekend as he braces for a 10-place grid penalty.
That grid penalty is for a new Mercedes engine, and will mean Hamilton's leading pace on Friday won't translate to pole position. In FP2, he set the benchmark for the second straight session to beat Ferrari's Leclerc to top spot by 0.166s, while Hamilton's team mate Bottas was third and four-tenths off the Briton.

As for the Red Bulls, it was Sergio Perez ahead of Max Verstappen in this session, the pair rounding out the top five.
There were spins galore, too, with the likes of Pierre Gasly and Nikita Mazepin losing traction on this tricky Turkish track.
