GALLERY: Bottas embarks on first day as a Cadillac driver
As Cadillac prepare to make their Formula 1 debut, Valtteri Bottas has been getting settled in at his new team.
Valtteri Bottas has marked his first day with the Cadillac F1 team, just weeks before the new outfit will make their track debut during pre-season testing.
After leaving his role as a reserve driver for Mercedes at the end of the 2025 campaign, Bottas is now fully switching his attentions to his return to the grid next season, which will also be the maiden outing for Cadillac.
As part of his first week with the squad, Bottas – who will partner Sergio Perez at the team – had a seat fitting at Silverstone, as well as spending time with some of his new colleagues.
“I’m excited to be starting as a Cadillac Formula 1 Team driver – finally,” the Finn said. “This is a proud moment in my career as it marks the beginning of a new chapter back on the grid with a team that’s starting its journey in the sport.
“There’s a lot of hard work that lies ahead, so I’m keen to use my experience to help the team now that I’m fully on board. Seeing everything coming together for the first time as a brand-new team is special and makes you realise the momentum of the project.
“It’s important to get the preparation right as these moments really are the first steps to getting us ready for the first test. I can’t wait to get the season started and go racing once again.”
