AlphaTauri scored their best result of 2021 in last year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with both Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda finishing in the top five.

With the light coming down in Q2 last year, both drivers were in contention for the top-10 shootout – and eventually it was Tsunoda who out-qualified his team mate for P8 on the grid compared to Gasly's P12.
