All eyes were on title protagonists Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton coming into the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend after their highly controversial clash last time out at Silverstone, and it was the former who struck the first blow in Budapest after he topped first practice.
Verstappen was quickest, with Hamilton third on the time sheets, just behind his Mercedes team mate Valtteri Bottas, as the drivers and teams prepare for the last race before the summer break.
