HIGHLIGHTS: Catch up on the FP1 action from Hungary as Norris sets the pace
Lando Norris topped the opening practice session of the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix weekend.
Lando Norris got his Hungarian Grand Prix weekend under way in perfect style, setting the fastest time in Free Practice 1 in Budapest.
With McLaren hoping to secure their 200th Formula 1 Grand Prix victory, there is an extra edge to the competition between Norris and Oscar Piastri this weekend, as the pair locked out the top two positions in FP1.
Charles Leclerc was third for Ferrari, with Isack Hadjar and Lewis Hamilton completing the top five.
Fernando Alonso was replaced by Felipe Drugovich, with the Spaniard suffering from a back injury as Aston Martin wait to make a decision on his participation for FP2 and beyond. Paul Aron also replaced Nico Hulkenberg for Sauber, but his session came to an early end with technical trouble.
