HIGHLIGHTS: Relive FP2 as Verstappen tops the pile on Friday in Mexico
Max Verstappen topped the times in Free Practice 2 after sitting out the opening session of the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend.
Max Verstappen ended Friday at the Mexico City Grand Prix at the top of the time sheets, setting the fastest lap in Free Practice 2 after sitting out the first session.
Verstappen was one of nine drivers to make way for rookies in FP1, but took back the reins from Arvid Lindblad for the afternoon session, setting a 1m 17.392s to go fastest.
Charles Leclerc and Kimi Antonelli completed the top three, with Lando Norris the lead McLaren driver in fourth. However, championship leader Oscar Piastri could only manage a time good enough for 12th place, 0.840s back on Verstappen's Red Bull.
