HIGHLIGHTS: Relive the action as Verstappen and Perez head final practice at Silverstone

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner predicted that there could well be a six-way fight for pole position on Saturday afternoon – but his driver Max Verstappen cast some doubt on his boss’s comments, throwing down a marker to his rivals with a dominant showing in Free Practice 3.

Verstappen’s 1m 27.901s was a full 0.410s faster than his team mate Sergio Perez – with Charles Leclerc the closest non-Red Bull runner in P3, a further three-hundredths behind the Mexican.

AS IT HAPPENED: All the action from final practice for the British Grand Prix

It was another promising showing for Mercedes with their upgraded W13, George Russell narrowly leading Lewis Hamilton – who’d traded times early on with Verstappen in FP1 – for fourth place. But there was no ignoring that the Mercedes couldn’t get within half a second of Verstappen’s time.

Relive the action from an intriguing final practice session at the British Grand Prix, as the drivers now prepare for qualifying.
