George Russell claimed his first pole position of the 2025 season for the Canadian Grand Prix, pipping Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri to top spot.
George Russell claimed his first pole position of the 2025 season for the Canadian Grand Prix, pipping Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri to top spot.
The Mercedes driver posted a 1m 10.899s with his final effort, leaving him 0.160s clear of Verstappen as both drivers used the medium tyre in the closing stages.

Drivers' Championship leader Piastri improved with his final effort on the soft compound but was two tenths back in third, while McLaren team mate Lando Norris qualified seventh after failing to improve on his final run.
Charles Leclerc will start eighth having also failed to improve on his final effort having suffered an oversteer moment, while Ferrari team mate Lewis Hamilton will start fifth.
