HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from an eventful British GP as Norris triumphs and Hulkenberg takes his first F1 podium
Lando Norris secured home victory in a dramatic British Grand Prix, as Nico Hulkenberg took his maiden F1 podium.
Lando Norris secured home victory as he led his penalised McLaren team mate Oscar Piastri across the line in an eventful wet-dry British Grand Prix.
While McLaren took another 1-2, Kick Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg expertly rose from a P19 start on the grid to take his maiden F1 podium on what was his 239th Grand Prix start.
With the British weather playing its part in proceedings at Silverstone, polesitter Max Verstappen had initially held the race lead before being passed by Piastri on Lap 8. However, things took a turn for Piastri as he was hit with a 10-second time penalty for slowing too much when preparing to lead the pack away at a Safety Car restart, while a spin for Verstappen moments later saw the Dutchman drop backwards.
Elsewhere five drivers retired, with Franco Colapinto the first to do so after stalling his Alpine in the pit lane. Liam Lawson exited on Lap 1 following a collision with Esteban Ocon, while Kick Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto was the next to record a DNF after a spin into the gravel.
Isack Hadjar suffered a heavy crash in the mixed conditions and Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli became the final retiree, with his car involved in the Hadjar collision.
