Lando Norris led another McLaren 1-2 during final practice for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, edging out team mate Oscar Piastri and Red Bull rival Max Verstappen.
Norris worked his way down to a best time of 1m 14.897s in an unusual session at the Imola venue, with drivers struggling to improve when switching from Pirelli’s medium to soft tyres.

In the end, the McLarens held the top two positions with late improvements on the softest red-marked rubber, while Verstappen’s strongest lap came on the yellow-marked compound.
There were a few incidents across the one hour of running, including a trip through the gravel for pace-setter Norris, a spin for Liam Lawson and a near-miss involving Isack Hadjar and Carlos Sainz at the pit exit.
